www.myjobsearch.com/careers/taxidermist.html
There are a few suppliers in the UK. An internet search for "taxidermy supplies UK" will find

them.

JHT Supplies sell a good range of supplies www.jhtsupplies.co.uk
The price to buy or commission taxidermy can be wide ranging. It's usually the case ( as in most things) that the cheaper work is of inferior quality and may not last.

Good taxidermists are considered artists by many and you should bear in mind that you will get something different from each one. Have a close look at their work and buy the best quality you can afford from the work you like best.
The Guild was formed to Improve the standard of uk taxidermy and as such we would expect our members to have some basic knowledge of the subject , We will help members to improve the quality of their work. To try your hand at Taxidermy and gain a good foundation for learning we recommend you attend a course which is run by a tutor that has attained the beccesary qualifications within the Guild. We can recommend the following members.

GUILD of TAXIDERMIST'S LIST OF QUALIFIED CURRENT MEMBERS

The Guild of Taxidermists runs the only qualifications for taxidermists within the UK. The system is built around a certain amount of credits that a member can earn .Standard credits are awarded to work which have been judged to be of a high standard in anatomical accuracy, quality of workmanship and finishing. Master credits are awarded to work judged to be of exceptionally high standard.

Qualifications Available:

Accredited Taxidermist - is someone who is a good, competent, all round taxidermist, who has been awarded six standard credits, in which at least one credit was for a bird, mammal and fish or reptile

Specialist Taxidermist - is a member who has shown special aptitude in a catagory to achieve six standard credits from a representative variety in specimens of either Birds , Mammals, Fish, Reptiles or Game Heads.

Master Taxidermist -is the highest qualification in the Guild, gained when three Master credits are awarded in either Birds, Mammals, Fish, Reptiles or Game Heads

To make it easier for institutions and individuals looking to buy or commission quality taxidermy we have listed below our qualified members, who wish to be on this list, with their preferred contact details.
